Notice of Non-Discrimination
The Scottsdale Unified School District does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, or age in its programs and activities.
Title IX of the Federal Education Amendments Act protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive Federal financial assistance. The District does not discriminate on the basis of sex and is required by Title IX not to discriminate in such a manner. The District adheres to all conditions established by Title IX by recognizing the right of every student who attends school in the District and every employee who works in the District to do so without the fear of sexual harassment.
This notice is provided as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Age of Discrimination Act of 1975, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Questions, complaints, or requests for additional information regarding these laws may be forwarded to the designated compliance coordinator and/or to the Assistant Secretary for the Office for Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Education.
The District will take steps to prevent recurrence of any harassment and to correct any discriminatory effects on the complainant and others, if appropriate.
