SUSD offers tuition-based programs for Preschool and Pre-K. Throughout our preschool and Pre-K programs, certified and licensed teachers provide developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to each child, ultimately preparing them for Kindergarten.
New Opportunity for students: Virtual Pre-K
Beginning January 4, 2021, Community Education will be offering a full day of Virtual Pre-K taught by a certified teachers. For more information call 480-484-7900

What are the age requirements?
Pre-K (4s): Any student enrolling in Pre-K must be four (4) years old on or before August 31st in the school year for which you are applying and must be potty-trained.
Preschool (3s): Any student enrolling in Preschool must be three (3) years old on or before August 31st in the school year for which you are applying and must be three before they start. Students must be potty-trained.

Does my child need to be potty-trained?
Yes, children will need to be potty-trained. No Pull-ups will be allowed.

Is transportation provided?
No, parents must provide transportation for all Community Ed and Title l Early Learning programs.

What about the District Boundaries?
- Community Education Early Learning programs have no district boundary restrictions
- Title I Pre-K programs require the student live within the SUSD boundary of a Title I Elementary school

Gifted Pre-K
Gifted Pre-K is designed to meet the unique learning needs of gifted four-year-old children. Students must be screened prior to enrolling to ensure that they meet the gifted requirements.

Title I Pre-K
SUSD's Title I Pre-Kindergarten is a federally funded program for four-year-old children (who are 4 on or before August 31 of the current year) who demonstrate academic need. This program is provided at no cost to eligible students.

PANDA Program
PANDA provides early intervention services for children who are 3-5 years old with special needs who are not yet eligible for kindergarten. Students must be evaluated prior to enrolling to ensure that they are eligible.
