Tim Eyerman Named Copper Ridge Principal
June 27, 2019
Dear Copper Ridge School Parents and Guardians,
I am pleased to inform you that Mr. Tim Eyerman will be the next principal of Copper Ridge School, succeeding Ms. Lindsay Stollar Slover, who will be joining our district office.
Mr. Eyerman brings a unique perspective to us, having taught in both public and charter schools in Arizona and Washington, D.C. His public school teaching experience is from Isaac Middle School in Phoenix, two years of which were with the national Teach for America program. His public charter school teaching experience is from Phoenix Collegiate Academy (now part of the ASU Prep Academy school system) and BASIS.ed in Phoenix and in the nation’s capital.
At BASIS.ed, Mr. Eyerman served as director of its grades 6 – 12 Phoenix school from 2012 – 2014 and headed up its grades 5 – 12 school in the nation’s capital from 2014 – 2017, while also being responsible for the planning for and 2018 opening of its Phoenix Primary School. All the while, he also held the BASIS corporate position of Senior Director of Charter School Advocacy.
In addition to what I believe are Mr. Eyerman’s unique qualifications to lead Copper Ridge students, teachers and staff, the panel that interviewed applicants for the post was particularly impressed with his philosophy that schools should be the centers of their communities. That is what the Scottsdale Unified School District has always been about. I am confident you and the DC Ranch neighborhood heartily endorse this approach, as well.
Please give Mr. Eyerman a warm, Trailblazer welcome and support his endeavors, as my administration will, to deliver rigorous, impactful learning experiences to your children that will serve them well during their years at Copper Ridge, and in the future.
John Kriekard, Ed.D.
