Trades can be learned through schooling or apprenticeships.

  • EVIT- can be taken during high school (no to low cost) or after high school graduation
  • Maricopa Community Colleges - check to see which college has the program you like
  • (Registered) Apprenticeship list and advice from the Phoenix Library's College Depot - make an appointment with their expertise to discuss your options.


  • EVIT - not just for high school students, you may attend post-high school and it is less expensive
  • ACCREDITED PROGRAMS:  Beauty School Directory gives you a list of schools that are regulated - VERY important when you are choosing a program.
