Each year the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership (HOBY) Program asks schools to nominate sophomores with great leadership potential to attend their program. The HOBY State Leadership Seminar is designed to help students realize their leadership talents and help them develop into effective leaders in their school and beyond. It is a well-recognized and established opportunity. Our students who have participated report that the program is one of the highlights of their high school experience.
Here’s what one of last year’s students had to say: "HOBY has helped me and encouraged me to become more involved in my community. It gave me countless opportunities to volunteer and get involved with national organizations. I’ve used my experience at HOBY to create a more positive environment at my school and to start a new club at my school."
