DMHS Announcements for February 22, 2018

Attention journalists: We will be assigning stories for the relaunch of Wolf's Print, DM's student newspaper during lunch today in room 5219. All writers, photographers and designers interested be sure to attend. Food will be available. If you can't attend, please see Mr. Sheh for your assignments.

Juniors planning on taking English 101 & 102, you have one more day to sign up for the placement test. Directions and information can be picked up in the guidance department or found on the guidance web page.

If you plan to take the AP tests, AP registration is open until March 9th . Students can sign up online or in the bookstore. For AP reminders text @dmapremind to 81010 and remember to check your receipts to make sure you signed up for the correct exam.

College and Career Center
The next announcement is for seniors who plan to attend Scottsdale Community College in the fall.
You, seniors going to SCC,  will need to take a placement test after completing your online enrollment at admissions.maricopa.edu.  You may take that test here - at DM - on March 2nd.   Sign up in the College and Career Center by Tuesday, February 27th
All seniors will need to meet with an SCC advisor to choose their SCC classes.  DM Seniors who sign up can
attend the SCC Field Trip on March 29th  to do that.  Paperwork must be completed and returned by March 8th to attend.   Visit Mrs. Loftus in the College and Career Center for paperwork, sign up and questions.
Juniors who want to take College English 101 and 102 next year, tomorrow is the last day to sign up for the March 1st test required.
Next week, Monday,  Baylor University will be on campus.  Sign up in Naviance for their admissions presentation at 10:30 am. If you’re a senior planning to attend Baylor next year, you’ll want to attend too.  Jan Kyster, the Baylor admissions officer will answer all your questions.

Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos will be holding a donation drive for the orphan children at the NPH home in the Dominican Republic! Please bring NEW underwear for both boys and girls in sizes 2T/3T/4T, XS-Medium;  AND boys/girls socks in sizes kids 4-8.5 to Profesora Salazar’s room #3231. Tomorrow is the last day!

The girls tennis team competed in the All-City Tournament yesterday. 

  • Sophia Zheng took 2nd overall in singles 
  • Ava Koenig took 3rd overall in singles 
  • Esther Gold and Jackie Amendola took 3rd overall in Doubles! Great job Lady Wolves!  

There will be a MANDATORY boys basketball meeting for ALL current freshman, Sophomores and Juniors today in Coach Shoes room (3210) at lunch.
