DMHS Announcements for May 21, 2018

Heads up! If you are in possession of an Elevator Keys or Temporary Parking hangtag, they must be returned to the bookstore by your last day of school. (SENIORS, for you that is Wednesday May 23rd) or a $25 fine will be added to your accounts.

A message from the nurse - All student medications must be collected from school nurse by 11:20 am on Thursday 24th May. Any remaining medication will be securely disposed of.

Did you get your yearbook? You can still do that in the bookstore for $70.00. And if you think you may have already paid for one, the bookstore can check that too!

College and Career Center
Freshman and sophomore girls,  If you have a passion for animals and are considering going into veterinary sciences, Mrs. Loftus has a unique opportunity for work.  A woman who owns a ranch just south of Desert Mountain, across Shea Blvd. is looking for help.  The right candidate will love animals, especially horses and be available to work part time and into the next school year.  If you are interested check out the job postings on the College And Career webpage or contact Mrs. Loftus in the College and Career Center.
Seniors,  don’t forget to send your final transcripts through Parchment Make sure to check the box to hold sending until next grading period.  If you also took dual enrollment courses you should go online to Scottsdale Community College and request a final transcript be sent to your college.


Congratulations to Jacob Ortiz for Placing 1st at the 2018 State Greco Championship tournament and 5th in at the State Freestyle Tournament. Jacob will be wrestling for Arizona at the USA Wrestling Cadet National this July in Fargo ND. Alex Deibal also qualified for the National Tournament, but due to injuries Alex needs to recover before attending Purdue University where he will be extending his academic and wrestling career. Off season wrestlers make season competitors. 
Also, any females interested in wrestling next year, Arizona has approved and scheduled a girls division for wrestling. Desert Mountain would like to organize a girls team to compete during the Spring season in Freestyle wrestling. For more information please contact Mr. Lopez room 1129.
