ACT Testing For 11th Grade Students


ATTENTION 11th Grade Parents/Students: This​ ​year​ ​SUSD​ ​is​ ​offering​ ​juniors​ ​the​ ​opportunity​ ​to​ ​participate​ ​in​ ​the​ ​two​ ​-​ ​part​ ​ACT​ ​exam​ ​free of​ ​charge​ ​during​ ​the​ ​school​ ​day​ ​on​ ​​Monday,​ ​February​ ​26th​​ ​and​ ​​Tuesday,​ ​February​ ​27th​​ ​.

The​ ​ACT​ ​is​ ​an​ ​assessment​ ​that​ ​is​ ​used​ ​by​ ​colleges​ ​and​ ​universities​ ​as​ ​an​ ​entrance​ ​exam.​ ​The ACT​ ​assesses​ ​what​ ​students​ ​learn​ ​in​ ​high​ ​school​ ​and​ ​provides​ ​personalized​ ​information regarding​ ​academic​ ​strengths​ ​and​ ​career​ ​planning.​ ​​ ​The​ ​ACT​ ​contains​ ​multiple-choice​ ​tests​ ​in four​ ​areas:​ ​English,​ ​mathematics,​ ​reading,​ ​and​ ​science.​ ​​ ​Also,​ ​the​ ​ACT​ ​offers​ ​an​ ​optional​ ​writing test​ ​that​ ​will​ ​not​ ​affect​ ​student’s​ ​composite​ ​score. 

​11th​ ​grade​ ​student​s are​ ​already​ ​registered​ ​for​ ​the​ ​exam​ ​and​ ​more​ ​information​ ​will​ ​follow from​ ​the​ ​district​ ​regarding​ ​the​ ​schedule​ ​for​ ​testing​ ​days.​ ​We​ ​encourage​ ​all​ ​11th​ ​grade​ ​students​ ​to take​ ​part​ ​in​ ​this​ ​wonderful​ ​opportunity,​ ​whether​ ​or​ ​not​ ​it​ ​serves​ ​as​ ​a​ ​practice​ ​exam​ ​or​ ​your student’s​ ​official​ ​entrance​ ​exam.​ ​For​ ​more​ ​information​ ​on​ ​the​ ​ACT,​ ​please​ ​visit​ ​the​ ​ACT website:​ ​​http://www.act.org/
