Course Selection 2018 - 2019...
Course Selection: 2018 – 2019
Guidance counselors will begin working with middle school and high school students in preparation for course selection for the 2018-2019 school year.
During these presentations, counselors will review course information, hand out paperwork and help students with general questions. Students are encouraged to be proactive in the process and share the course selection information and paperwork with their parents/guardians before they are asked to finalize and enter the information later in the week.
It is very important that parents review their student’s course selections and sign off on both sides of the form. If students or parents feel they need more time with their counselor, the guidance department encourages students to make an appointment to meet with their counselor after course selection is complete in late February. Changes can still be made at that time.
All incoming freshmen families will also receive a letter in late February or early March inviting them to schedule a time to meet one on one with their assigned counselor.
Email is the best way to reach your counselor should you have any questions or concerns. Counselor emails may be found on the Chaparral website under the Administration tab.
During this busy time, your patience is greatly appreciated should there be any delay in normal response time.

Chaparral students present information on club participation, performing arts, athletics, elective programs and life in general as a high school student.
