Early Learning Program Map

Kids Club

Kids Club is a licensed before and after school program administered by Scottsdale Unified School District’s participating schools. Early bird drop off begins at 6:30a.m. and after school operates from school dismissal until 6:30 p.m. Students are greeted each day by qualified child care specialists who facilitate activities that may include: arts and crafts, active group games, sports, team-building exercises, science, technology and supervised homework time. Snacks are served every day.

Kids Club FAQs

1. Where do I go to register? How do I make an account?

2. I forgot my password to my Parent Portal account. How can I retrieve it? I can’t log in, what do I do?
Go to the Parent Portal: https://www.schoolcareworks.com/registration/susd/start_registration.jsp
Click Password Reminder and type in your email or user name that is connected to your account.
Contact Kids Club if you still cannot login at (480) 484-7903.

3. Can I send in a paper registration?
No. All registration must be completed online through the Parent Portal.

4. What if I don’t have access to a computer?
You can come into the MDA Annex at 8500 East Jackrabbit Road, Scottsdale 85250 between Monday and Friday from 7:30 AM-4:15 PM to register and make a payment.

Accounting:
1. What is a block payment? How many days are in a block?
A block payment is 18 consecutive school days. Each block includes 18 days that the school is open and excludes all holidays and breaks.

2. When are block payments due?
Block payments will be billed to your account the 15th of every month. Block payments are due before the 1st of every month.

3. Where do I go to make my block payments? Do I have to re-register each block?
You do not have to re-register for each block payment.
Step 1: Log in to your Parent Portal account at: https://www.schoolcareworks.com/registration/susd/start_registration.jsp
Step 2: Click on the balance>pay now
Step 3: Input credit card, click submit payment. You will receive a receipt for confirmation.

4. Where can I view my statement for the fiscal year?
Step 1: Log in to your Parent Portal account at: https://www.schoolcareworks.com/registration/susd/start_registration.jsp
Step 2: Click on statements
Step 3: Choose the statement PDF option
Step 4: Choose dates and click OK
Step 5: For 2017 statements please login to your parent portal.

5. Can I make the payment past the due date?
All payments must be paid in full before the due date or your account will receive a $25.00 late fee and children may be at risk of being withdrawn from the program.

6. How do I go about requesting a refund?
Refunds will be issued no later than two days prior to the program’s start date.

7. I paid the registration fee last year, why do I have to pay it again?
The registration fee is an annual fee per student. If you withdraw your student during the school year and re-enroll, there will be an additional $25.00 registration fee.

8. Is the registration fee refundable?
No

9. Do I need to pay a registration fee for Kids Club and Pre-K?
Yes. The annual registration fee is per program.

10. Can my account be pro-rated if I start in the middle of the Block?
No. We recommend starting at the beginning of the block.

11. Is there a sibling discount for Kids Club?
Yes, 10% sibling discounts are granted (discount applied to the lower  tuition) for the second and each successive sibling registered.

1. I want to add days to Kids Club. How do I do it?
Login to your account, select days and make payment.

2. Do I have to register for all 5 afternoons?
No. You can register by choosing the day of the block that your student will be attending.

3. Is Early Release covered in the Kids Club regular days?
Kids Club is not available for early release days for the first week of school for Kindergarteners. Kindergarteners may attend Kids Club at its normal hours during the first week of school. After the first week of school, all students may attend on Early Release days. Login to parent portal, if you wish to use Kids Club on Early Release days and are not already enrolled in the afternoon program.

5. Who do I contact if my child is going to be absent?

6. Who are the site Managers for Kids Club?

7. Where do I fill out the DHS Emergency Card?
Upon completing your new Parent Portal account, your child’s DHS Emergency Card has been submitted and filled out with the information that was provided in your registration. You will be required to update this information annually through your Parent Portal account.

8. Where on campus is Kids Club located? Where do I drop my student(s) off?
Contact the site managers.

9. What is the age limit at the sites? What sites offer Kids Club?
Contact the site managers

10. My child is enrolled in an Enrichment Program in addition to Kids Club. Who do I notify?
Contact your Kids Club Manager prior to the enrichment start date.

11. Who takes my child back to Kids Club after Enrichment Programs?
The enrichment instructor will walk each student back to Kids Club.

12. Does my child receive a snack during the afternoon program?
Yes they do. There is a snack menu available on the Kids Club website.

Enrichment Zone

Community Education’s Enrichment Zone* engages students in fun activities that create a desire to learn.

Classes are offered throughout the year giving students an opportunity to explore activities of particular interest to them and their families outside of the regular school program.

The enrichment instructor will contact you using the contact information you provided in your Parent Portal account.

2. Where does my child meet for the enrichment program?
Contact the school for room numbers/location of program

3. My child does not want to participate any longer. How do I withdraw?
Fill out the change of option form on our website. Withdrawal after the first class in any session is non-refundable.

4. What ages can participate in enrichment programs?
See the individual school enrichment pages: enrich.susd.org

5. Can my child be signed up for more than one enrichment program?
Yes. Make note of the days and times so they do not fall on the same day.

6. Where can I find the available list of Enrichment classes?

7. How does my child get back to Kids Club after the enrichment program ends?
The enrichment instructor will walk your student back to Kids Club.

8. How does my child get to their enrichment program?
Parents are responsible for notifying their child and their classroom teacher of their enrichment program that day. Kindergarteners will be picked up by the enrichment instructor. If the the student is not in Kindergarten, he or she will be responsible for walking to the assigned classroom designated by the school office. Please contact the school for enrichment locations on campus.
