Welcome to SUSD Fine Arts

Vision Statement for Fine Arts

The SUSD Fine Arts Community strives to foster a creativity based environment, where students are provided the opportunities and skill sets to express individual and collaborative meaning of the world around them.

Vocal (6-12)
Vocal/choral curriculum is available to any student, grade 6-12. There are a variety of entry points for beginners, as well as a clear pathway for advancing students to continue being challenged in their musical development.

Dance (9-12)
Dance curriculum is available to any 9-12 student. Foundational skills and varying experiences of expression through movement are available.

 

Theatre (6-12)
Theatre curriculum is available to some 6-8 students and all 9-12 students. Students have an opportunity to express their creative and playful selves in a purposeful environment through the exploration of public speaking, acting, and stage presence.

Band (4-12)
Instrumental Band curriculum is available to any student, grade 4-12. There are a variety of entry points for beginners, as well as a clear pathway for advancing students to continue being challenged in their musical development.

Strings (4-12)
Instrumental String curriculum is available to any student, grade 4-12. There are a variety of entry points for beginners, as well as a clear pathway for advancing students to continue being challenged in their musical development.

Visual Art (K-12)
Visual Art curriculum is available for all students, grade K-12. Whole class instruction is provided for all K-5 students. Individual pathways, exploring 2D and 3D art mediums, are open to all 6-12 students.

Elementary General Music (K-5)
General Music curriculum is provided for all K-5 students. Opportunities for musical discovery, individual expression, and classroom performances are provided throughout the curriculum.
