Welcome to SUSD Benefits

The Scottsdale Unified School District offers a variety of insurance and benefit programs through a cafeteria plan, thus allowing employees to select a combination of benefits that best suit their individual and family needs.

The District's insurance program is set up as a Flexible Benefit Plan under Section 125 of Internal Revenue Code. This allows employees to use pre-tax dollars to pay federal, state and FICA taxes for their portion of District insurance premiums. Employee contributions are taken from gross wages before taxes, which reduces taxable income and gives the employee more take home pay.
