SUSD Holds Hiring Fair Aug. 16; Positions Range in Pay from $12 - $17/hr.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Aug. 6, 2019) – Interested in working for an organization that helps construct the future? The Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD) is hosting a hiring fair to fill open positions ranging in pay from $12 per hour to $17.92 per hour.
The hiring fair takes place Friday, Aug. 16 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the SUSD Education Center, 7575 E. Main St., Scottsdale.
Open positions include both part-time and full-time work with schedules ranging from nine to 12 months per year. They include:
• Bus Aides: $12/hr.
• Bus Drivers: $15.97 - $16.61/hr.
• Childcare Assistants: $12/hr.
• Custodians: $12.19 - $12.68/hr.
• Electricians: $17.22 - $17.92/hr.
• Maintenance Staff – Grounds: $13.17 - $13.71/hr.
• Nutritional Service Managers: $14.80 - $15.39/hr.
• Nutritional Service Workers: $12/hr.
• Para Educators: $12.00 - $12.68/hr.
• Substitute Teachers: $100/day
At the hiring fair, applicants will be able to speak to supervisors, complete on-site interviews and, in some cases, receive a conditional offer of employment on the spot, pending the results of background investigations and reference checks.
Positions working 30 hours or more each week are eligible for benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Some positions require additional certifications, such as a food handler card, first aid certification, and, in the case of bus drivers, a Commercial Driver License.
