Before becoming a school administrator, Ms. Waldron worked for two years as an instructional technology specialist serving all schools in her past district facilitating professional development and coaching teachers in the areas of STEM and technology in grades K-8. Prior to that position, she served as a gifted resource teacher, writing and facilitating professional development, coaching teachers and teaching gifted students in grades K-8. She started out her passion for serving students as a second-grade classroom teacher 18 years ago.

I am honored to be here at Anasazi Elementary School as the Assistant Principal.  I began my career after graduating from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Instruction in 2007 receiving the Student Teacher of the Year award.  I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade as a classroom teacher in multiple districts in the greater Phoenix area.  After my time in the classroom, I became a district instructional coach for grades K-8.   As an instructional coach, I supported teachers in developing sound instruction and classroom management.   I have had thorough training in district curriculum development and assessment as well as the Multi-Tiered System of Supports for both Instruction and Behavior.  In 2018, I received my Master’s Degree from Northern Arizona University in Educational Leadership, Principal K-12 and joined the Scottsdale Unified School District as an Assistant Principal. I joined the Anasazi Elementary School Community in the 2019-2020 school year and have been afforded the opportunity to serve this community ever since.  Here at Anasazi, our philosophy is to focus on what is best for our students and as the Assistant Principal I am committed to serving our students and families and creating a safe space for students to learn and grow to their highest potential.
