  • Core Content Classes

    Students are placed in grade level classes for:

    • ELA
      • IMS offers Honors ELA for 8th graders
    • Social Studies
    • Math
      • IMS offers Accelerated Math for 6th and 7th grade
      • Algebra I and Geometry is also offered for high school credit
    • Science

    Academic interventions

    • Students are placed in a reading or math intervention based on need

    Special Education Services 

    IMS offers both team-taught options, as well as self-contained

    • Academic Learning Center (ALC)
    • Learning Resource Center (LRC) 

    World Language Offerings

    IMS offers Spanish programs for all grade levels:

    • Spanish Exploratory for 6th and 7th grade
    • Spanish I for 8th grade

    Gifted Services

    IMS offers a Comprehensive Gifted Program (CGP)

    • English Language Arts
    • Science
    • Social Studies

    This program is for students who have met testing threshold 

    Additionally, IMS has Gifted opportunities outside CGP.  Once again, this is based on meeting testing requirements.
