Email: pmastropolo@susd.orgMs. Mastropolo is just thrilled to be a part of SUSD and the Ingleside community! She has her undergraduate degree from ASU and began her career in education in 1998 teaching for the New York City Public School system and has been an educator in both the public and private sectors in Arizona. She received her first master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment while teaching in middle school in Paradise Valley Unified School District for 14 years. There, she earned the Arizona Middle Level Association Teacher of the year as well as the Anti-Defamation League Arizona region Teacher of the Year. Ms. Mastropolo continued the journey into Administration earning her second master’s degree in Educational Administration. Ms. Mastropolo sits on the Education Committee for the No Place For Hate initiative through their Phoenix Chapter and co-developed the Hope Chest a curriculum based on local Holocaust survivor Oskar Knoblauch’s life. Middle school is in Ms. Mastropolo’s heart. She strongly advocates for social-emotional well-being and collaborative relationship building centered on positive actions and solutions. One of Ms. Mastropolo’s favorite sayings is “Now All Together” and that is exactly how she feels being part of Ingleside. We are going to do great things! Let’s DO THIS TROJAN FAMILY!

Email: shency@susd.orgMrs. Hency is ridiculously delighted to be part of the Ingleside Middle School staff! She calls herself a ‘border baby’ because she resided on two sides of a water border between Michigan and Ontario, Canada, during her childhood years. When Mrs. Hency graduated with a degree in Sports’ Facilities and Recreation Administration in Ontario, Canada, she made a life-altering decision to become an educator. Following both parents’ footsteps as teachers, she returned to school to attend Central Michigan University to earn a Bachelor of Science in Education majoring and minoring in Science and ELA in 2000. Since 2001, Mrs. Hency has accrued 14 years of teaching experience from three states and one country abroad, England. Teaching science and ELA to middle schoolers has been her realm for numerous years. By 2011, she earned a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Education intentionally setting a future goal to ‘step’ out of the classroom to pursue a more specialized path in education. Mrs. Hency’s other experiences in education include coaching Freshman girls’ volleyball, continuously accumulating experience by participating in district curriculum development related to middle school science, summer education camps, volunteering for after school tutoring, and investing time in the process of science textbook adoptiAbout Our SchoolAbout Our Schoolons for two school districts. Mrs. Hency is ready to support the Trojan team at Ingleside! GO TROJANS!
