Data Privacy Center

At Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD), we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and secure learning environment. Part of that responsibility is protecting the personal information we allow our digital partners to collect in support of teaching, learning, and school operations.

TrustEd Apps Pledge

We are proud supporters of the TrustEd Apps Pledge. As part of a committed community that makes open standards the first and primary choice for education technology integrations, we advocate for standards-based integrations. We believe that achieving and promoting official product certification to open standards enables a better edtech ecosystem and community and believe in fair and open business practices for suppliers. We are passionate about this cause and have taken the TrustEd Apps pledge to confirm our support.

Student Data Privacy Consortium

The Student Data Privacy Consortium (SDPC) is a national group of schools and education partners that work together to make sure student information is handled safely and responsibly. They create clear and consistent rules for how educational apps and companies can collect, use, and protect student data. SDPC also provides tools and a large registry of privacy agreements that districts can use to quickly check whether a company meets strong privacy standards.

Our district participates in the SDPC because it helps us protect our student's personal information most effectively. Through this alliance we:

  • Gain access to experts who review privacy terms
  • Standardized agreements that hold companies accountable
  • Participate in a community that focuses on real‑world student data protection

This partnership allows us to ensure that any online learning platform or app we use meets strict privacy requirements, saving time, reducing risk, and keeping your child’s data safe.

Data Privacy Agreement Process

As part of Scottsdale Unified School District’s commitment to data governance, we follow a review process for all free or paid digital resources, including online programs, browser extensions, apps, and installed software.

The National Data Privacy Agreement (NDPA) streamlines application contracting and sets common expectations between schools/districts and marketplace providers in addressing legal obligations on student privacy.

The vendors listed below have signed Data Privacy agreements with SUSD. Hover over the magnifying glass to see what data elements are shared with the vendor and the expiration date for each agreement.
