CGP Application Timeline
Plan ahead and stay informed throughout the application process.
CGP is an application-based program. Students are considered for placement through a review of assessment data, academic information, and demonstrated learning need.
Families should plan ahead to complete required testing, gather application materials, and meet all timelines.
Before applying, families should:
- Complete required gifted testing.
- Begin gathering academic materials.
- Review application requirements.
After You Apply
Applications are reviewed based on academic need and program fit, in alignment with eligibility criteria and available space.
Accepted
The student meets eligibility criteria and demonstrates a level of academic need that aligns with the program.
- Placement is offered based on available seats.
- Families complete enrollment within 5 business days.
Waitlisted
The student meets eligibility criteria and demonstrates academic need consistent with the program; however, space is not currently available.
- Students remain eligible.
- Placement may occur as seats become available.
Not Selected for Placement
The application does not demonstrate a level of academic need that requires the intensity of CGP services.
- Students continue receiving gifted services at their home school.
Important Notes
- Complete required testing prior to applying.
- Upload all required application materials to the application.
- Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
- Placement decisions are based on academic need and program fit.
- Placement is dependent on available space.
- No placements are made after the second semester begins.
- Students enrolled in CGP in grades 1–7 do not reapply annually.
