Application Info & Timeline

The Comprehensive Gifted Program is an optional application-based program that serves highly gifted students in grades K–8 and is designed for students who have extraordinary academic needs, ability, and intellectual potential.

Students that do not apply, or are not eligible to apply, for the Comprehensive Gifted Program may still receive receive services through the district's Gifted Programs and Services.

Before applying, families should:

• Complete required gifted testing.
• Review application eligibility and requirements.
• Review application timelines.
• Gather application components.

Please select the appropriate program year below. Because application periods may overlap, both the current and next year's applications may be available at the same time. If you're unsure of the application year, please contact the Gifted Learning Admin. Support Coordinator.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Students enrolled in the Comprehensive Gifted Program in grades 1–7 do not reapply annually.

Comprehensive Gifted Program applications are reviewed based on academic need and program fit, in alignment with eligibility criteria and available space.

Accepted

The student meets eligibility criteria and demonstrates a level of academic need that aligns with the program.

• Placement is offered based on available seats.
• Families complete enrollment within 5 business days.

Waitlisted

The student meets eligibility criteria and demonstrates academic need consistent with the program; however, space is not currently available.

• Students remain eligible.
• Placement may occur as seats become available.

Not Selected for Placement

The application does not demonstrate a level of academic need that requires the intensity of placement into the Comprehensive Gifted Program.

• Students continue receiving gifted services at their home school.
