Program Guidelines

Preschool/Pre-K Program Guidelines

The Early Learning programs in Scottsdale Unified School District have requirements for their eligibility. 

Age Requirements

Toddler Program (students must be 2 by Aug. 31) - This program is exclusively at Laguna beginning Aug. 2023

Preschool (3s): Any student enrolling in Preschool must be at least three (3) years old on or before August 31 of the enrollment school year. Pre-school students be three before they attend class. Students must be independently potty-trained*.

Pre-Kindergarten (4s): Any student enrolling in Pre-K must be four (4) years old on or before August 31 of the enrollment school year. Student must be independently potty-trained*.

* Students in the PANDA program are not required to be potty-trained. (Students who attend any Community Ed Early Learning program MUST be potty trained, even if they are also enrolled in PANDA.)


District Boundaries

There are no district boundary restrictions for our tuition-based programs.

Students must live within the boundaries of Hohokam, Navajo, Pima, Tavan or Yavapai elementary schools for the entire school year in order to be eligible for free of charge early learning programs. Residency is verified throughout the school year.
