Scottsdale Unified School District Top Performer in Maricopa County and Among the Top in the State
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (October 30, 2025) – The Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD) is proud to announce that it has again been recognized as an “A”-rated district, and that’s not all!
SUSD continues to elevate excellence earning the highest overall performance in Maricopa County on the Spring 2025 state assessments in both English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics. On the statewide stage, SUSD leads the pack, ranking #1 among all Arizona districts and charters serving more than 10,000 students in both subjects. The district’s continued success demonstrates its unwavering commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and student growth.
We are especially focused on increasing math achievement for every student. From targeted interventions and expanded course options to educator professional learning and family partnerships, our focus is to ensure each student has the skills, opportunities, and support needed to thrive in school and beyond.
These efforts are paying off across the district. 22 of SUSD’s 30 schools earned an “A” rating, six schools earned a “B,” and two schools earned a “C.”
“We are incredibly proud of our students, teachers, and staff for their hard work and dedication,” said Superintendent Dr. Menzel Scottsdale Unified School District. “Earning an ‘A’ rating once again reflects the strength of our academic programs and the deep partnership we share with our families and community.”
SUSD’s A-rated schools include:
Anasazi, Cherokee, Cheyenne, Cochise, Cocopah, Copper Ridge, DCES, DCMS, Echo Canyon, Hopi, Kiva, Laguna, Navajo, Pima, Pueblo, Redfield, Sequoya, Tavan, Arcadia, Chaparral, Desert Mountain, and Saguaro.
B-rated schools include: Hohokam, Ingleside, Mohave, Mountainside, Yavapai, and Coronado.
C-rated schools include: Tonalea and SOL.
“These results are a reflection of the exceptional work happening in classrooms across our district,” Assistant Superintendent Lea Mitchell, SUSD Educational Services. “We are grateful for the dedication of our educators and the ongoing support of our parents and community.”
