Discover, Connect, and Choose: SUSD Education Expo Returns
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (September 25, 2025) – Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD) invites families to discover all that its schools have to offer at the second annual Education Expo, happening on Wednesday, November 5, at Saguaro High School (6250 N. 82nd St., Scottsdale, AZ). Join us from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. for an engaging evening of exploration, information, and connection.
Representatives from every SUSD school will be available to share information and answer questions for families exploring educational options. Whether you're new to the area, considering a change, or already part of the SUSD community, the Expo offers a chance to learn more about the wide range of programs and opportunities available. With Arizona’s open enrollment policy, families can explore schools beyond their neighborhood boundaries to find the best fit for their student’s needs and interests. At information sessions that will be offered in nearby classrooms, families can also learn about specialized programs that are particular to a school, such as Chaparral High School's Culinary Arts program, drone coding at Tonalea Middle School, our Dual Language Immersion Programs, and the new Fire Science Academy at Coronado High School.
The Expo will showcase several of SUSD’s signature academic pathways available across the district. Families can explore the International Baccalaureate program offered at Anasazi Elementary, Mountainside Middle, and Desert Mountain High School; the AVID college and career readiness program at Tavan Elementary, Echo Canyon K-8, Ingleside Middle, and Arcadia High School; and the Scottsdale Math & Science Academy, now open at both Mohave Middle School and Saguaro High School, providing a STEM-focused curriculum that prepares students for advanced studies and careers in science and technology.
In addition to school representatives, families will have the chance to connect with district staff from a wide range of departments. Whether you have questions about enrollment, academic support, gifted programs, student services, transportation, or extracurriculars, experts from areas such as Career and Technical Education, Special Education, Teaching and Learning, Athletics, Nutrition Services, Native American Education, and more will be on hand to provide insight and resources.
As an ‘A’ rated district by the Arizona State Board of Education, SUSD prides itself on offering high-quality, student-centered learning experiences.
“Our goal is to empower families with the information they need to make the best choices for their children’s education,” said Superintendent Dr. Scott Menzel, with SUSD. “The Education Expo is an opportunity to explore everything SUSD has to offer, our schools, programs, and support services, all in one place. It’s about helping families feel informed, supported, and confident in their decision to join our community.”
