Chaparral Grad Named Gatorade Arizona Girls Soccer Player of the Year

Recent Chaparral High School graduate Isabella Struckman was named the 2019-20 Gatorade Arizona Girls Soccer Player of the Year.
The award recognizes the nation’s most elite high school athletes for not only athletic excellence, but also for high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character. She now goes on to compete for the National Gatorade Player of the Year.
Isabella led the Firebirds to a 21-1-3 record and the 6A state championship in the 2019-2020 season, and she won four state titles in four years with the team.
She founded a local chapter of the BakPak for Humanity Club, which benefits the homeless, and has volunteered her time to several community service initiatives through the National Honor Society. Isabella has maintained a 4.95 weighted GPA and will play soccer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
