  • Closing Procedures

    The decision to declare an emergency suspension of campus and facility operations, including class, athletic and extracurricular cancellations, is a data-informed, consultative process involving several stakeholders including parent, employee and student feedback and representatives from public safety, facilities, environmental, mental and public health representatives as well as school and district leadership. Decisions concerning class cancellations, facility closings and returning to online learning are, at a minimum, declared by the Superintendent, and in some cases, may be finalized by the Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board.

  • Closure Notices

    • School Campus Closures: Any school campus closures will be posted on the school’s website. For a listing of school websites and contact information, visit www.susd.org/Schools.
    • District Office and Facility Closures: Closures of any District facilities that are not operating as a school will be posted on the District homepage at www.susd.org.
    • Changes in operational status will be posted on the District’s Facebook account, and if the closure involves a school, will also be posted on the school’s Facebook account. For a listing and link to all Scottsdale Unified official social media accounts, visit www.susd.org/Social.
