SUSD Summer School Information

Coyote Bench Dedication

March 26, 2008

Zuni students, teachers, and staff participated in unveiling this beautiful Coyote bench. It was constructed using original artworkof Zuni students. We are thankful to our Artist in Residence, Miss Nita, for sharing with us her love of the Earth and her amazing talents. This bench is lovingly dedicated to the memory of our much beloved kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Pamela Jones.

Zuni's Panda Preschool Update

The Zuni PANDA Preschool is looking for peer models to join our preschool classroom.  Peer Models are typical children with no special education needs.  Peer models need to be strong in language and able to model age appropriate behaviors for the special needs students.

There are a limited number of  peer model spaces available. Students must participate in the District’s preschool screening program before they can be considered for placement.

Please call (480) 484-5086.  This program has great benefits for both the special needs students and the peer model students.

The Annual Zuni Variety Show is Coming!

Mark your calendar for Tuesday, May 27th at 7:00 p.m. The place to be on that night is the Zuni Cafe to experience over 20 acts performed by many of our talented fifth grade students, as they prepare to leave Zuni and head to middle school. Of course, there is that very "special" last act that is kept a secret until show time and is always a crowd pleaser (rumor has it that a few teachers, staff, maybe even a principal may appear)!
