For safety reasons, we ask that you monitor the balls you children bring to school. Nothing smaller than 'head-sized'. No more hard, rubbery, bouncy balls ('super balls' when I was a kid), tennis balls, soft balls, base balls or other similar small balls on campus, please. They are a danger to eyes as well as leaving nasty bruises. Thank you for your attention to this. The children's safety and health are a priority!
Learning Alert!!
We also ask for you assistance in helping keep toys at home. School is not a place for toys, as they disrupt the learning process. And again, thank you for your help; we can't do our job without your cooperation!

Gifted Testing ~ Testing for Kg-2nd and 4th-8th grade students will be Saturday, Jan 24th AND Saturday, Jan 31st. BOTH days are required for testing. All students, except current 3rd graders, are eligible, unless they have been tested for the gifted program in the last 12 months. If you are interested in having your child test, you may pick up a form in the school office or download it here (for Spanish form click here). Testing will be at Zuni or Pima Elementary and you need to indicate which you prefer on the form. The form must be returned to the office no later than Dec 19th (last day before winter break). No students with late forms will be tested.

Welcome to Ms Joan Bourque, our Artist in Residence. She will be assisting Sequoya students to create a mural for our school in celebration of the Twentieth Anniversary! We are very excited to be starting on the mural. Ms Bourque was with us in Oct and the first week of Nov and will be again in Dec. The mural looks great; stop by and see how it's progressing!
