Mission
underline

Service Learning combines service to the community with classroom studies in a way that improves student learning while strengthening the community. Students work in collaboration with community members, classmates, other schools and teachers to meet real community needs, while learning more about their academics, civic responsibility and effective citizenship. Service Learning is more than just community service or volunteerism. Service Learning links education to service and service to learning. Statistics show that students who are involved in service learning programs perform better in the classroom and are more socially responsible. Service Learning is the missing Link that both the community and the schools have been looking for to promote student success.

Vision
underline

Leadership Skill Acquisition, Community and Boundary Connections, Community Collaborations, Volunteerism and Service will be the foundation blocks for student success. The links or connections between students and the community need to be positive experiences. The voices of our youth need to be heard. Students will have multiple opportunities to link or connect with their schools, their school district and their community collaborative partners through Service Learning.
