Dear Prospective Student Teacher,
Congratulations on choosing a career to teach our future leaders of tomorrow! I am very excited to share this journey with you and I would personally like to thank you for choosing the Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD) to complete your student teaching.
Twenty two of our thirty two schools are Excelling in accordance with the ADE and No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). SUSD’s goal is to have all 32 schools excelling by the year 2010. We have a dedicated Excelling Teaching and Learning Team, and our staff is here to help you with whatever you may need.
Please take a moment to fill out the online application below. Here are a few things you will need to know while filling out the application:
- Student Teachers cannot be on our campuses until the online application is complete and processed by our district office.
- Be sure to choose STUDENT TEACHER as one of your job choices.
- You will be able to access your online application as you update your credentials, letters of recommendation and job choices after graduation.
When you have completed your online application you can fax a copy of your fingerprint clearance card to the attention of Wendy Ferguson at 480-484-6174, scan it or send it as an attachment to my attention at wferguson@susd.org. If you need additional information about fingerprint clearance, please contact the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) www.ade.az.gov. In the interest of our life-long learners, student teachers are not allowed on our campuses without obtaining a fingerprint clearance card.
