SUSD-TV Programming Suspended, Due
To Budget Cuts
The taping
and broadcasting of Governing Board meetings, Parent Council meetings,
special events, sporting events, and fine arts shows have been suspended
until further notice. The suspension of SUSD-TV programming is one of
many 2002-2003 budget cuts necessitated because of declining state revenue
and local funding.
In preparing
the 2002-2003 budget, the Governing Board and administration used a zero-based
budgeting process to focus on cutting $3.3 million that did not directly
impact students.
