Scottsdale schools to offer Academic Summer School Program
Whether you need to make up a class or want to get ahead in school Scottsdale Unified School District is offering classes from English to Physical Education to meet students’ needs this summer at Chaparral High School, 6935 E. Gold Dust Ave., Scottsdale.
Academic Summer School sessions will be held May 31 to June 15 and June 16-30 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday thru Friday. Summer school costs are $225 for residents, $250 for non-residents, $10 PE uniform fee, $50 Science fee. Each session counts as a semester credit (.05). For one full credit, both sessions will need to be taken. Two non-credit courses offered this year will be Kaplan SAT and Driver’s Education. Registration will start in March.
Walk-in/drop registration is from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. from March 21 to May 20 at the Education Center. Register in person from 4-6 p.m. on May 9-12 and May 18, at the Media Center at Saguaro High School, 6250 N. 82nd St., Scottsdale. Mail-in registrations must be postmarked by May 13 and sent to the Education Center, 3811 N. 44th St., Phoenix 85018.
