Scottsdale Schools to offer elementary, middle, athletic Summer Camps
Whether you are looking for a summer camp for your elementary and middle school students or athletic camp, Scottsdale Unified School District is the ticket for your summer fun!
The following schools will offer Summer Camps:
Elementary Summer Camps
- Camp Quest
at Arcadia Neighborhood Learning Center,4330 N. 62nd St., Scottsdale, will have an Early Bird Program, Camp Quest Kindergarten, Camp Quest grades 1-5, including Little Chefs, Summer Art and Computer Fun. Summer Kids Club will be available for parents who need a full-day program for an additional fee.
- Camp Gold
at Cheyenne Traditional School, 11130 E. Cholla St., Scottsdale, will have an Early Bird Program, Camp Gold Kindergarten, Camp Gold for 1-5 grades, including reading, drama, karaoke, sports, games computers, knitting and arts and crafts. Summer Kids Club will be available for parents who need a full-day program for an additional fee.
- Camp Cub
at Desert Canyon Elementary School, 10203 E. McDowell Mountain Ranch Road, Scottsdale, will have an Early Bird Program and Camp Cub for grades 1-5. Kids Club will not be available at this site.
- Camp Blue
at Kiva Elementary School, 6911 E. McDonald Road, Paradise Valley, will have an Early Bird Program, Camp Blue Kindergarten, Camp Blue for grades 1-3, Camp Blue for grades 4-6. Summer Kids Club will be available for parents who need a full-day program for an additional fee.
- Camp Coyote
at Zuni Elementary School, 9181 E. Redfield Road, Scottsdale, will have Kindergarten Phonics Enrichment for children ages 4-7, Bookmaking through Reading & Writing for third-fifth graders, Computer Technology for third-fifth graders, Science Fun (Session I only) for fourth-fifth graders, Reading/Creative Drama for fourth-fifth graders, Math Madness for fourth-fifth graders, Creating Music/Playing Simple Melodies for second graders, Baseball - an Academic Exploration for third-fifth graders, Math Games (Session II only) for third-fifth graders and It's a Small World for second-fourth graders. Kids Club will not be available at this site.
For registration information, please view the brochures on the district’s Web site at: http://www.susd.org/district/administrativeservices/communityschools.cfm. All Elementary Summer Camps will be held from June 6-24 and from July 11-29. The fee for the summer camp is $200, and Kids Club is $300.
Middle School Summer Camp
- Ingleside Middle School, 5402 E. Osborn Road, Phoenix, will offer campers a rotation of activities by grade level, including Computer Exploration, Math Fundamentals, Reading and Writing Fundamentals, Sports Fundamentals in Session I. Campers in Session II will offer campers a rotation of activities by grade level, including Study Skills and Homework Strategies, Jump Start Math, Jump Start Reading and Writing and Sport Fundamentals-Fall Sports.
The Middle Summer Camp will be held from June 6-24 and from July 11-29. The fee for the summer camp is $200 per session. Register in person from 4-6 p.m. on May 9,10,11,12 and 18 at Saguaro High School, 6250 N. 82nd St., Scottsdale. Mail-in registration must be postmarked by May 27, and sent to the Education Center at 3811 N. 44th St., Phoenix. Athletic Summer Camps
- Arcadia High School
, 4703 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, Athletic Camp will offer coed basketball and football.
- Chaparral High School
, 6935 E. Gold Dust Ave., Scottsdale, Athletic Camp will offer girls basketball, boys basketball, football, volleyball and badminton.
- Coronado High School
, 2501 N. 75th At., Scottsdale, Athletic Camp will offer boys basketball, football, volleyball and cheer.
- Saguaro High School
, 6250 N. 82nd St., Scottsdale, will offer girls basketball, boys basketball, football, volleyball, badminton and baseball.
