Stress Management for Adolescents Workshop
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (November 16, 2005) – Scottsdale Unified School District invites parents, teachers and community members to attend The Academy workshop entitled Stress Management for Adolescents at 6 p.m., on Wednesday, November 30, in the Media Center at Chaparral High School, 6935 E. Gold Dust Ave., Scottsdale.
During this session, you will learn which stressors affect teens, and how to help them cope in today’s society.
The program will be presented by the Jewish Family and Children's Service (JFCS). JFCS is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization that strengthens the community by providing high quality behavioral health and social services to children, families and adults of all ages throughout Maricopa County.
In addition, teachers who attend the presentation can receive Career Ladder hours or staff development points, as well as recertification credits.
Future Academy topics include teen dating: the romance & the risks, Substance use and prevention, bully and violence prevention, family communication and more.
