Preparing for the “Real World” Workshop

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (May 15, 2006) Scottsdale Unified School District invites parents, teachers and community members to attend The Academy workshop entitled Preparing for the “Real World” at 6 p.m., on Wednesday, May 24, in the media center at Arcadia High School, 4703 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.

This session will focus on identifying and teaching children and adolescents the skills they need to learn in order to be prepared for the challenges they may face out in the "real world."

The program will be presented by the Waypoint Group. The Waypoint Group provides specialized mental health, consulting, and training services to assist individuals, families, businesses and organizations in navigating change.

In addition, teachers who attend the presentation can receive Career Ladder hours or staff development recertification credits.
