International Baccalaureate informational meeting Dec. 6, Jan 6

Parents, students and community members are invited to attend an informational meeting to learn more about Scottsdale Unified School District’s International Baccalaureate Program (IB) from 7-9 p.m. on Monday Dec. 6 and Thursday, Jan. 6, at Desert Mountain High School, 12575 E. Via Linda, Scottsdale.

The IB program offers students an exciting and rigorous pre-university course of studies in high school. This is a challenging program, which stresses critical thinking, written and oral communication skills and emphasizes an international perspective. IB offers the student the opportunity to take honors classes with weighted grades across all content areas. Students take exams at the end of their course work and may earn college credit at their university.

Guided tours of DMHS will be available. The Scottsdale schools IB program is available to students in the district, as well as students from outside SUSD.
