Scottsdale student honor choir
to perform Nov. 25
More than 300 children from fifth through 12th
grades were selected through an audition process to perform in a
Scottsdale Unified School District Honor Choir Concert at 7 p.m.,
Nov. 25, in the auditorium at Chaparral High School, 6935 E. Gold
Dust Ave., Scottsdale.
Three separate choirs—elementary school,
middle school, and high school—will perform “music of
the highest caliber and difficulty,” noted Andrea Low, vocal
music teacher at Pima Elementary School.
For this event, which is a free public event,
guest conductors will direct each choir. The elementary school conductor
is Susan Ingmire, vocal music teacher at Zuni Elementary School
and Desert Canyon Middle School. The middle school conductor is
Barbara Burly, vocal teacher at Mountainside Middle School. The
high school conductor is Judy Durosher, choral director at Pinnacle
High School in the Paradise Valley School District.
