Depression, Suicide Risk Workshop
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (January 27, 2006) – Scottsdale Unified School District invites parents, teachers and community members to attend The Academy workshop entitled Depression Suicide Risks at 6 p.m., on Tuesday, February 7, in the Media Center at Arcadia High School, 4703 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.
At this session, you will learn how to recognize symptoms and risk factors associated with depression and suicide, as well as the indicators for when to seek professional help.
The program will be presented by the Jewish Family and Children's Service (JFCS). JFCS is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization that strengthens the community by providing high quality behavioral health and social services to children, families and adults of all ages throughout Maricopa County.
In addition, teachers who attend the presentation can receive Career Ladder hours or staff development points, as well as recertification credits.
