Daytime Community Dialogue session added
Anyone welcome to attend morning sessions on January 14, 20

In an effort to involve as many people as possible in a Community Dialogue on Scottsdale schools, Superintendent Dr. John M. Baracy has added two more public sessions to be held during two mornings later this month.

Community Dialogues are taking place to bring the community together under a common goal of providing the best possible schools for Scottsdale students.

“We are looking to get the best ideas from people who truly care about our children,” Dr. Baracy said. “

The new sessions will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. on Jan. 14 and Jan. 20 at the district’s Education Center, 3811 N. 44th St., Phoenix. There is no need to register in advance; anyone who wants to attend is welcome.

Participants will talk about what a good education means to each of them and discuss how our students and schools are doing. They also will create a picture of a community where all students can do their best and discuss how to make those visions take place.

A final session, scheduled for Jan. 27, will allow participants from these morning sessions as well as those from six teams meeting during evenings this month to discuss action ideas. Participants will have a chance to remain involved and work together to put those plans into action. That meeting is scheduled to take place from 5-7:30 p.m. on Jan. 27.
