Anger Management Workshop

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (October 4, 2005) Scottsdale Unified School District invites parents, teachers and community members to attend The Academy workshop entitled Anger Management at 6 p.m., on Tuesday, October 11, in Room 362 at Saguaro High School, 6250 N. 82nd St., Scottsdale.

At the session you will learn to understand the components of anger, and how to help children express their feelings and anger appropriately, while focusing on solving conflict effectively.

The program will be presented by the Jewish Family and Children's Service (JFCS). JFCS is a non-profit, non-sectarian organization that strengthens the community by providing high quality behavioral health and social services to children, families and adults of all ages throughout Maricopa County.

In addition, teachers who attend the presentation can receive Career Ladder hours or staff development points, as well as recertification credits.

Future Academy topics include sexual health, family fitness, bullying and violence prevention, stress management for adolescents, teen dating: the romance & the risks and more.
