Desert Mountain High School to unveil sculpture for 10th anniversary

Desert Mountain High School will unveil a life-size bronze wolf statue in commemoration of the school’s 10th anniversary at 7:30 p.m., on Friday, May 6, in the front courtyard on the campus, 12575 E. Via Linda, Scottsdale.

“This event will be paramount in illustrating the solidification of outstanding traditions of academic excellence at Desert Mountain High School. The implications of the dedication of the wolf sculpture will carry a passionate and positive message to future generations of DMHS students. Our student body continues to do an outstanding job of bolstering pride, opportunity, motivation and tradition in and through the DMHS experience,” said Brian Corte, principal at Desert Mountain High School.

The bronze sculpture was purchased by the school’s Student Government in honor of its 10th anniversary. The sculpture, entitled Spirit of the Mountain was designed by Carol Franza, a Scottsdale artist, and captures the essence of what Desert Mountain High School strives to stand for to their students and community.
