Dr. David Peterson, assistant superintendent for Operations, presented information regarding the exercise of DMB Property Purchase Option to the Governing Board. During the master planning of the Copper Ridge Schools and the acquisition of the property from the developer, DMB, there was an option to acquire 18.5945 acres. The designated property is recorded as DC Ranch S parcel. The option to acquire DC Ranch S parcel must be exercised no later than May 18, 2009. If the District acquires the parcel and does not undertake any improvements on the parcel within 10 years of acquisition, the District may have to re-convey the parcel back to DC Ranch. The exercise of the option will require payment of $10 by the District to DC Ranch and the delivery of written notice of exercise.
