Meeting of March 18, 2008 BOARD BRIEFS

Kevin Price, internal auditor, presented the Governing Board with a quarterly update that included work completed in the previous quarter and work scheduled for the next quarter. The presentation is available on the District’s Web site at: www.susd.org/district/govboard/meetings.cfm.

In other action, the Governing Board:

  • Approved the expansion of Phased Retirement Program – Smartschools.
     
  • Approved the proposal for the 2009 ASBA Political Agenda, and appointed Dieter Schaefer as a delegate.
     
  • Accepted gifts valued at $75,758. The gifts were received from Copper Ridge Elementary PTO, Friends of ANLC, Laguna PTO, Insight Bowl, Scottsdale Charros, Scottsdale Airpark, Scottsdale Cultural Council, SUSD Foundation, Scottsdale Sunrise Rotary and Wells Fargo.

The next two regular Governing Board meetings are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on April 15 and May 6 at the Education Center.
