Dads Club Delivers New Technology to Arcadia

Arcadia Principal Anne-Marie Woolsey is all smiles as she
tries out one of the school's 82 new PCs.

The Arcadia Dads Club project is under way! Eighty-two Tablet PCs were delivered to Arcadia teachers early this month, marking the first step towards achieving this year's Dads Club goal: equipping every Arcadia classroom with technology that empowers teachers to take full advantage of 21st century educational resources. Installation of projectors, document cameras, sound enhancement systems, TV tuners and remote tablets will also begin this summer. Teachers will complete online training during the summer and participate in continuous training throughout the school year.
Funds for the project were raised at the Arcadia Goes Hollywood event in February. Arcadia High School Dads Club co-chairmen Paul McCauley & Kevin Czerwinski organized the event with generous support from major sponsors Dan Harkins, Wells Fargo and Double AA Builders. The Dads Club project is being completed in collaboration with the SUSD IT Department.
