Terrific Tie-Dyes

Students at Laguna Elementary are taking part in an exciting new entrepreneurial business venture.

Mr. Pasco’s 4th Grade class has developed “Pasco’s Terrific Tie-Dyes, Inc” and with more than 4 months of planning, is into their 2nd week of sales and production. Laguna parent Heidi Schaefer wanted to give the children a taste of what it feels like to have a dream for a business, and then work to have that dream become reality.

The students worked jointly to develop the products to sell. They were divided into 4 teams: finance, product development, marketing and customer service. They then chose representatives from each of those teams to make up the management team.

The class is targeting $1,000 in sales over 3 weeks. Profits will be donated to a non-profit organization and also used to reseed a company at Laguna next year.

Sales will continue through May 19th, so if you’d like a great tie-dyed t-shirt or pillowcase, call Laguna Elementary School at 480-484-2400.
