Sobresaliente de Arizona!
Si usted quiere matricular a su hijo en alguna
de las mejores escuelas en el estado de Arizona, ha venido al lugar
preciso. El Distrito Escolar Unificado de Scottsdale tiene más
escuelas que han obtenido la más alta clasificación del estado
– Sobresalientes – que cualquier distrito de este gran
estado.
La mayoría de nuestras 33 escuelas tienen
espacio ahora mismo. Usted puede matricular a su hijo simplemente
llamando a la oficina de la escuela que prefiera. Aunque las clases
han terminado para este año escolar, las oficinas de las
escuelas están abiertas todo el verano.

2005-2006 Accomplishments
- We started off the 2005-2006 school year with our successful START SMART Campaign.
- We have more Excelling schools than any other school district in Arizona for the third consecutive year.
- Phase I of construct began at Arcadia and Coronado High Schools .
- National Merit Scholarship Corporation recognized 64 students. More than any other school district in Arizona .
- Our emphasis on Exceptional Customer Experience continued this year with our Learning Leadership Team (LLT), Governing Board members, principals and support staff attending several meeting hosted by Wally Graham, Kierland Westin, Nordstrom's and Susan Brooks.
- On thousand, eight hundred and sixty-four students graduate from Arcadia , Chaparral, Coronado , Desert Mountain and Saguaro high schools and Sierra Vista Academy .
- Yavapai Elementary School was named Title I Distinguished Schools for Category 1 - Exceptional Student Performance.
- Natalie Laino and Marilyn Zolonedek, sixth grade loop teachers at Yavapai Elementary School , were named as Rodel Exemplary teachers.
- The Heartcare Foundation of Scottsdale is leading the way in proactive cardiac care with the donation of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) to each of Scottsdale 's five high schools.
- Rebecca Baker, self-contained gifted program teacher at Pima Elementary, is Arizona 's Teacher of the Year for Gifted Learners.
- Clif McKenzie, SUSD's Director of Exceptional Customer Experiences, has been honored by the City of Scottsdale as a diversity champion.
- Albert Shieh, a student at Chaparral High School , and one other Valley student were the Southwest Region Silver Medal Winners of the Siemens Westinghouse Competition. The students will split a $100,000 scholarship prize for math, science and technology.
- Our district adopted the Terrebonne Parish School District in Louisiana . We also established an account at Wells Fargo where donations can be made to the school district that was affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Many of our schools had successful fundraisers for the school district.
- The City of Scottsdale was named as 100 Best Communities for Young People by America 's Promise - The Alliance for Youth.
- Scottsdale Unified School District outperforms the State in both AIMS and TerraNova assessments in all grade levels and all content areas. SUSD students score as much as 30% higher on the AIMS test in grades 3- 10 in reading, writing and mathematics and as much as 43% higher on the TerraNova in grades 2-9 in reading, language and mathematics.
- USA TODAY named 20 students to its 20th annual All-USA High School Academic First Team. The students will each receive a trophy and $2,500 cash award. Albert Shieh, a student at Chaparral High School , was the only student in Arizona to be named.
- The Academy workshops continued to provide parents with information on diverse topics.
- SAT scores for our college-bound students were above the state and national averages in both math and English.
- The new Copper Ridge Math and Science Academy in DC Ranch will open this fall.
