Beginning Teacher Coaches

In an effort to attract and retain highly qualified teachers, and in response to the results of the 2004-05 SUSD Professional Development Needs Assessment Survey, the SUSD created a beginning teacher coaching program designed to provide job embedded, on-site coaching for beginning teachers in their first two years of teaching. Now in it’s fourth year, the role of SUSD BTCs continues to be valued as BTCs support beginning teachers in the implementation of Arizona’s Professional Teacher Standards.

BTC Induction Academy for brand new Beginning Teacher Coaches
(BTCs that have worked as a BTC previously are welcome to attend this workshop to learn about the changes and improvements we've made within the BTC program):

*On-going Support Menu/Options for all* SUSD BTCs Revised – August 2008** (2 hours required before May 6th, 2008) Please notice some workshops are 2 hr workshops held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, and other workshops are 1 hr workshops that will be held from 4:00 to 5:00 PM and/or from 6:15 to 7:15 AM.
