Sample 4 year schedules:

Although there are endless varieties to schedules, this is just a sample of what a typical schedule would look like. Please note that these schedules are not set in stone and we can work with many different variables:

Ninth Grade:

English

Pre-Diploma English 1 Honors

Social Studies

Pre-Diploma IB World History Honors

Foreign Language

Spanish 1 or French 1- This would mean students would test in their foreign language their senior year

Pre-Diploma Spanish 2 or Pre-Diploma French 2- This would mean that students would test in their foreign language their junior year

Science

Biology Honors or Physics First Honors (for students concurrently enrolled in Geometry/Trigonometry Honors or higher), Physics First (For students concurrently enrolled in Algebra)

Math

Algebra 1- These students would take their IB math test in their senior year

Geometry or Geometry/Trigonometry Honors- These students would have the opportunity to take Mathematic HL junior and senior years or test in Mathematics SL their junior year.

One Elective Class

Tenth Grade:

English

Pre-Diploma English 2 Honors

Social Studies

Pre-Diploma American History Honors

Foreign Language

Pre-Diploma Spanish 2 or Pre-Diploma French 2 (For students testing senior year) OR Pre-Diploma Spanish 3 or Pre-Diploma French 3 (For students testing junior year)

Science

Biology Honors, Chemistry Honors, Physics Honors

*The sciences taken at the freshman and sophomore years, should not be a science the student may take at the HL level junior and senior year.

Math

Geometry or Geometry/Trigonometry Honors (For Mathematics SL candidates) OR Algebra 2 Honors (For Mathematics HL candidates)

One Elective Class

Eleventh Grade

HL Class #1: English HL (year 1)

HL Classes #2 and #3: History HL, Mathematics HL, Chemistry HL or Biology HL (year 1)
SL Class #1: Spanish SL or French SL OR IB “Elective” class- IB Psychology SL, IB Business and Management SL, IB Computer Science SL, Visual Arts SL, Music SL or Theater SL

SL Class #2: Mathematics SL if currently enrolled in Biology HL or Chemistry HL OR Biology SL, Chemistry SL or Physics SL if currently enrolled in Mathematics HL.

One Elective Class

Twelfth Grade

HL Class #1: English HL (year 2)

HL Classes #2 and #3: History HL, Mathematics HL, Chemistry HL or Biology HL (year 2)

SL Class #3: Spanish SL or French SL (if students started in Spanish 1 or French 1 as freshmen) OR Mathematics SL (if students started in Algebra as a freshman) OR IB “Elective” class- IB Psychology SL, IB Business and Management SL, IB Computer Science SL, Visual Arts SL, Music SL, Theater SL or a second IB Science SL class

Theory of Knowledge

One Elective Class- This could be Government/Economic.

*Students must also take Government/Economics prior to graduation
