SCHOOL FUSION UPDATE!
ALL USERS
Student class schedules have been uploaded and are updated weekly at this point.  If a student schedule changes, the change may not be reflected immediately. Please allow a few days for changes to appear prior to initiating a help ticket.

STUDENTS
Your login information is currently the same as your Galileo and Novell login.  IF YOU CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD..., please add a personal email, either yours or your parent’s, under My Personal Settings in your School Fusion account.  If you forget your password, a new one will be emailed to you at that address.  Please make these changes from home, as you will need to verify the email account, and you cannot do that at school.  If you do not have an email account to enter, you will need to contact the staff at your school if you forget your password.

PARENTS
In the early stages of implementation, please use your student’s login information to access their School Fusion accounts.  In mid-September, you will get a phone message at home giving you instructions on how to register as a parent.  Parent registration will allow you to view all of your students in one place, and to sign up for daily email updates.

Home of the Rattlesnakes!

Student Insurance
– Forms are available in the office for parents who would like to purchase insurance for their children.  Notify the office if your would like a form.

Advice From Scottsdale Police – Officer James Dear wants to make sure parents are aware that there is no parking or standing (which means someone is still in the car) on 100th Place or 102nd Street.  Parents are asked to observe the signs in this area that state NO PARKING OR STANDING.  Drivers will be ticketed and there will be traffic vans in front of Aztec Elementary before and after school for the first two weeks of school.

Aztec Parking Lot – Parents are again urged to use extreme caution when driving through the school parking lot for drop off or pick up of students.  Please don’t use cell phones when you are in a school zone.  The parking lot has arrows to direct the traffic one-way for safety reasons.  Drop off and pick up of students should be done in the lane closest to the curb.  Please keep moving forward in the lanes to allow cars to exit the parking lot.  The safest way to pick up students is to park in the parking lot and walk them across the cross walk.

Attendance/Tardies – It is not only important for students to be in school, but it is a state law.  It is also important that they learn the value of being to school on time each day.  Parents can drop students off between 7:50-8:10 AM.  Students should be in their classrooms when the 8:15 tardy bell rings.  Please read the SUSD Code of Conduct policy to learn more about how the tardy policy affects elementary students.

Code of Conduct – One Code of Conduct book will be sent home with each family during the first week of school.  Parents can also view the Code of Conduct anytime via the internet.  Go to www.susd.org and click on the icon in the upper left “For Students.”  From the menu, click on “Code of Conduct.”  Click on the elementary link to view the entire booklet.  Parents must review the Code of Conduct and sign a form that will be sent home saying that they have reviewed it.  The form needs to be returned by August 18.

Emergency Cards/Student Information Form– It is extremely important that we have the emergency medical cards returned immediately to the nurse’s office so that they can be on file.  Please take a moment to fill out the emergency card and student information form so that the school can be prepared to assist the children.

Our goal is to produce creative thinkers needed today and tomorrow. Teachers at Aztec are extensively trained in not only the traditional methods but also in Brain Compatible Learning and Highly Effective Teaching through The Center for Effective LearningLifelong Guidelines and Lifeskills serve as the behavior guideline in our classrooms.
