Homebound offers various services to the students of the Scottsdale School District:

1. A student qualifies for Homebound if a medical doctor completes a form with a diagnosis that prevents a student from attending school for a period of at least 3 months.
2. A student will qualify for Homebound-Intermittent if he/she has an illness that limits attendance at some times, while at other times they are able to attend school. An example would be a student undergoing chemotherapy who is only unable to attend school for the periods surrounding the treatments.
3. The Scottsdale Unified School District makes Homebound available to pregnant students who have medical complications with their pregnancy or medical complications to the newborn baby.
