Scottsdale Unified School District Arizona’s Most Excelling Schools!

Bob Flach, chief financial officer, presented the Governing Board with an overview on revisions that will be made in the 2006-2007 budget. The Learning Leadership Team (LLT) realigned requests and tasks to bring increases to a level that fits within the conservative estimate of the 2006-2007 Budget. At a previous Governing Board Budget Work/Study, the Board requested that the LLT look at realignment of current expenditures to meet new budget requests based on current Board goals and district priorities. LLT reviewed all aspects of their budgets and have come to consensus on the presented budget items. In other action, the Board:

• Approved as amended the Scottsdale Education Association (SEA) Contract for the 2006-2007 fiscal year.
   
• Approved as amended the Scottsdale Affiliated Administrators (SAA) Contract for the 2006-2007 fiscal year.
   
• Approved as amended the Scottsdale Support Personnel Association (SSPA) Contract for the 2006-2007 fiscal year.
   
• Approved the relocatable classroom installation at Tavan Elementary School and Arcadia Neighborhood Learning Center to accommodate student growth. The administration was also directed to address the plans to control enrollment in the Arcadia Complex this fall. The removal of relocatables will be discussed in the next bond issue. • Tabled the award of an RFP for Employee Lease Back Program.

The next two Regular Governing Board meeting are scheduled at 5 p.m., Tuesday, June 6, at the Education Center and at 5 p.m., on Tuesday June 20, at the Education Center.
