MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING

OF THE GOVERNING BOARD

SCOTTSDALE SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 48

April 5, 2004

A Special Meeting of the Governing Board of the Scottsdale Unified School District, #48, Maricopa County, was called to order at 5:02 PM, at the Scottsdale School District Education Center Board Room, 3811 North 44^th Street, Phoenix, Arizona.

Board Members in attendance were Sandra Zapien-Ferrero, President; Karen Beckvar, Clerk; and Christine M. Schild. Shari Avianantos arrived at 5:15 PM. Joel S. Feldman was absent. A quorum was present.

Mrs. Schild moved to convene in Executive Session for:

Discussion/consideration among Board Members on an update on the candidate interviews for Superintendent, and on feedback from the interviews and Public Forums, pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.03 (A)(1).

Ms. Beckvar seconded the motion.

The motion was approved with a vote of 3 – 0. (Mrs. Avianantos had not yet arrived).

At 6:48 PM, the Special Meeting reconvened.

Mrs. Schild moved to adjourn the Special Meeting. Mrs. Avianantos seconded the motion.

The motion was approved with a vote of 4 – 0.
