There will be some significant changes to the AIMS Tuition Waiver that the State of Arizona grants students who exceed the standard on AIMS
1. Beginning with students graduating in 2009 only AIMS results from the sophomore or junior year will be used to determine eligibility for the AIMS Honors Tuition Waiver. That means that students must exceed the standard during their sophomore or junior year, students will no longer be allowed to use the AIMS test results from their senior year to become eligible for the AIMS waiver.
2. AIMS Augmentation will no longer be available for students graduating after December 31, 2007. Any students graduating January 1, 2008 and beyond will be required to pass the AIMS test without the use of AIMS Augmentation. Special education and 504 students are still eligible for waivers of the graduation requirement according to state statute. |
